I was wondering what on earth changed so drastically that I used to get you know 50-100 likes? (I realize that's laughable to some) and some sort of engagement on posts. I scrolled back to when those were the days and found a few things. One obvious reason could be that there are so many other maillers active now. Like VERY active putting out quality content and different designs on the daily, leaving me easily overlooked. The other thing is I used to have more of a presence, talking about the weather or whether or not I felt like something was worthy of posting (insecurities can run high on my page and life in general, warranted or not? who knows). Just got kind of a slap in the face from an (accepted) vendor application in that regard. I as a person was more present with a voice. I literally cannot post pictures of myself as much as I wish I could and I'm not someone using model photos, so I think it's maybe that every post lately is just "here I'm selling this" or "here I sold that." And that is SO boring. Another thing is engaging with others. Ya gotta give it to get it. That is SO real. So this is me showing up with my words (bare minimum) to hold myself accountable to SHOW UP as an individual with a UNIQUE brand that is worthy of attention and appreciation. I've got to show appreciation for the work all my fellow makers are doing as well. I see it! I might elaborate on this more. I need to get the blog going.
Not updating this now, but want to mention this isn't to say my business is failing or anything, but my social media/MY presence is lol.
